PyraMaze December Update
PyraMaze was originally built for the 32BitJam in October. For the 32BitHoliday jam, I decided to make more content for PyraMaze. Because the theme for this jam was “Holidays” I decided to incorporate snow somehow.
My wife and I took a trip to the mountains this year and we got to spend some time in the snow. It was really inspirational because we rarely see any snow where we live. I took lots of pictures during that trip and when I got home I turned many of those pictures into 128x128 textures. All of the textures in the game are either pixel art I made or are recolorized pics from that trip.
I took inspiration from the Himalayas and from Tibetan monasteries for the design of the new levels.
I used Paint.Net for all of the pixel art and photo manipulation. I used Wings3D for all of the 3D assets. Mixamo online animation tool for the animations. Unity3D as the game engine. I used DScript as a scripting language for all of the dialog and a few other features.
The old levels from the previous jam entry are included in this build. Once you finish everything in the snowy areas, you will have access to the jungle level via Warp.
